Progress and clinical applications of minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation technology

  • Extracorporeal circulation serves as a vital auxiliary approach in cardiac surgery, and its introduction and application have directly driven a clinical revolution in cardiac surgical procedures. With the continuous advancement of clinical techniques in cardiac surgery, extracorporeal circulation technology has undergone constant innovation. To align with the trend of minimally invasive surgery, minimally invasive extracorporeal circulation (MiECC) technology has emerged. Its feasibility and safety have been preliminarily verified in clinical practice. This paper synthesizes domestic and international literature to expound on the development of MiECC and its advantages in clinical applications, aiming to further promote its adoption in China.
