Insights and implications of international clinical research—examples from South Korea and Australia

Shanghai Hospital Development Center have paid high attention to clinical research and the biomedical research translation of municipal hospitals. We conducted a systematic research of current development status on South Korea and Australia, focusing on aspects of clinical research, clinical trials, medical quality training, research infrastructures, etc. To align with the actual conditions of Shanghai municipal hospitals, we proposed four main constructive suggestions to enhance the quality of clinical research, accelerate clinical trial efficiency, strengthen policy support and stimulate research motivation, while facilitating clinical research in municipal hospitals and driving high-quality development of the local biopharmaceutical industry.
